Vegetable Spice Paste 323 views
Ingredients
| 50 g | Red chillies |
| 2 - 3 | bird eye chili |
| 20 g | shallots |
| 20 g | garlic |
| 20 g | turmeric |
| 20 g | galangal |
| 20 g | candlenuts |
| 1/2 tsp | coriander seed |
| 1/4 tsp | ground white pepper |
| 1/2 tsp | roasted dried prawn (shrimp) paste |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
| 3 tbsp | vegetable oil |
Instructions
1. Prepare spice paste. Combine all ingredients, ecept oil, in a stone mortar of blender (processor) and grind coarsely.2. Heat oil in heavy saucepan. Add found spices and saute over medium heat unitl fragrant.
3. Remove from heat and leave to cool thoroughly before using or storing for future use.

ground white pepper - not so spicy. if you want more spicy, use ground black pepper or add more bird's eye chilli. this paste is used for making any patties.
