They look like sesame balls, but they are not as rounded and have cracks on the surface. People call them Laughing sesame balls. Regular sesame balls are made out of glutinous flour with green bean paste. Laughing sesame balls can be made with all-purpose flour. They both are equally delicious

Ingredients
| 10.5 Oz | all purpose flour |
| 1 | egg |
| 5.5 Oz | sugar |
| 3.3 fl oz | water |
| 1.5 tablespoon | margarine |
| 1/2 teaspoon | baking powder |
| 1/4 teaspoon | baking soda |
| 3.5 Oz | sesame |
| 1/2 teaspoon | salt |
| cooking oil |
Instructions
1. Mix and stir sugar, salt and water. Bring to boil, set aside and let cool.2. In a separate container, beat egg with margarine together and add the mixture of sugar, salt and water slowly
3. Shift all purpose flour along with baking soda and baking powder. Put into the mixture above and stir.
4. Using a tablespoon, shape the mix into a round shape until all mix are exhausted.
5. Dip the balls into water and cover lightly with sesame
6. Deep fry them until golden brown and cracks develop. Let cool and serve.
Tips: Use a lot of oil so that balls will rise beautifully.
